Claire Mérigeau, canvas and paper

Claire is a painter and a teacher. She first worked as an interior designer for ten years and then started painting in 1991. She won several awards in France including that of Académie de Port-Royal (Paris) where she studied. She also got trained at the Beaux-Arts de Paris (National School of Fine Arts of Paris). 

Claire's work has been displayed in her country and in Europe especially at the exhibition "Arts en Capital" at the Grand Palais Museum in Paris. She uses acrylic techniques, collage, canvas and paper. Her creation focuses on lyrical abstraction.

"Claire paints poetic and colourful imaginary universes, states of mind inhabited by rythms, moving dreams, gostly shapes subject to continuous transformation and developing in a relation of tension".
